Are vegans or non vegans healthier?!

Question: Are vegans or non vegans healthier?
its for science and i gotta see who's more healthy, vegans or non vegans. So i need help with that.

Answers:

Vegans.

Meat causes all kinds of diseases, including cancer, pancreatitus, hydropholucomia, AIDS and Guarana's disease.

Holding all else constant, Vegans would be the healthier group overall.

There are really only positive side effects of the vegan diet and no negative ones.

People who eat meat have a higher chance of contracting a disease the animals they eat may be carrying. Also, other things are added to animals like antibiotics and hormones that are then transfered to humans. There is a plethra of information on all of this. What you would want for your science class is actual studies and try not to be biased. I think you will find that the information is clearly in the corner of the vegans.

Personally, I have been vegan for 3 years and I know that I am healthier for it.

Vegan

Done correctly, a vegan diet is healthier. However, unhealthy vegans do exist. As a vegan, it is very important to eat a variety of foods in order to get all the nutrients you need. There are some vegans who live off of veggie burgers and oreos...obviously they are terribly unhealthy. These unhealthy vegans are few. Most vegans I know are extremely healthy people. While meat does have a lot of protein, it has also been linked with multiple types of cancer, heart disease, and obesity. It is very easy to the same amount of protein from plant sources, which do not cause disease.

Vegan

Neither is automatically healthier than the other. Diets even within the same group vary as do genetics, physical activity, other lifestyle (drinking/smoking) that affect over all health.
Contrary to what the first poster said, there no known disease that has been attributed to a specific food, certainly not meat causing diabetes, heart disease and cancer. In fact the various recognized and respected professional health organization like The American Diabetes Association, The American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society and eve the Mayo clinic and American Dietetic Association (the largest group of nutrition professionals in the US) all include meat in their diet plans and healthy shopping guides. The key has and always be "well balanced" diets whether vegan, vegetarian or otherwise. All things being equal, all diet well balanced diets are healthy.

The typical American diet that many people point out to is not typical at all considering there are 6 billion people in the world and only 300 million Americans. And bad eating and lifestyle habits (eating too much and no exercise) is not an accurate gauge of how each diet is better than the other though others tend to use it to mislead people into thinking their way is better. That type of information is normally found in vegetarian/vegan propaganda sites. And even though it is devoid of scientific basis, it is believed and swallowed whole by those who would like to think they are better than others sdimply based on what's on (or what's not on) their plates.

This is from another question that I answered today:
Countless studies done by the most renowned doctors have proven time and time again that a low fat vegan diet is the best diet for human beings.

If you would like to do some research, you can start by reading "The China Study" by Dr. Colin T. Campbell.

vegan :D

Well, i'm a vegan and I feel better than I ever did when I used to eat animal products. I'm leaner than the meat eaters I know and etcet sick a lot less. So, I'd imagine that vegans are overall healthier people than meat eaters.

My own experience as a vegan

It is relative to what kind of diet regimen they follow. If they eat enough protein and other nutritional substitutes, then yes. They are at lower risk for virtually every disease. Meat rots in your digestive tract and causes all sorts of problems.

Hello

Physically I would certainly say vegan, as for mentally - well I have to say I have met some pretty nasty critical angry vegans, as well as some unconditional loving and balanced ones.

HI i asked a question a bit like this watch this short film see what you think is healthier.
