What kind of sandwiches do you like to make?!

Question: What kind of sandwiches do you like to make?
I've recently gone vegetarian and I love sandwiches. Most of the ones I used to make are pretty simple but now I'm willing to try anything.

what do you use as far as:

-bread
-condiments
-cheeses
-general toppings

for various ones? what goes together best?

Have you considered looking at 'Vegetarian Times' magazine? Also, go to the local store and check out MorningStar Farms products. They have black bean burgers, Chik n patties as well as their veggie burger. (you can try the veggie burger at Burger King if you don't want to buy the whole package). Also, consider other whole grain breads, pita pockets and breads. If you have a Panera Bread store go there and check out the different breads they have. Also, other than mayo, consider goat cheese spread, creamy Gorgonzola, blue cheese, hummus and different mustard's. If you take a Little of the blue cheese or gorg and mix with mayo it is good on most any sandwich; if you like those cheeses.
Try all the different leafy greens in the salad mixes; including fresh spinach.
Take a few minutes and check out the magazine I mentioned and there are a few good cook books out there that are just for vegetarians and vegans.
Don't buy just one bread or use just one topping or you will become bored.

Hummus, cucumbers, lettuce, tomato and whole wheat bread.
Simple, filling and yummy :)

Also good ol' p.b. & j is vegetarian.

I used to make Tofurky sandwiches often-
bread and a few slices of Tofurky, occasionally
veggies with it or a slice of (vegan) cheese.

Vegan, I was originally vegetarian though.

I only use whole grain bread (whole wheat, whole grain rye, whole multigrain).

-Vegetarian Reuben ( smoked swiss cheese, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing)
-Chickpea salad spread on whole wheat
-Curried egg salad sandwich
-Veggie sandwich on whole wheat roll ( like subway's veggie delite)
-Mexican wrap (raw bell peppers, roasted red peppers, avocado, sliced onion and strained salsa)

My favourite sandwich is all-natural, organic peanut butter on whole-wheat bread, but I also love to make sandwiches with hummus and veggies.
