does being a vegetarian mean more energy?!

Question: Does being a vegetarian mean more energy?
I don't really know much about the vegetarian/vegan/pescetarian lifestyle but but for the past few days I havent eaten any meat except Thanksgiving and the day after I had a baked chicken instead of turkey because turkey is dry and nasty lol

but anyways I run track and my season started Monday and prior to the season starting I didn't feel like I was in good shape because i was sick last week, and been pretty busy because it's my senior year so i been visiting schools for track and college apps, but even I thought I wasn't in the best shape going into the season it seemed like I been having more energy in practice and I didn't eat any meat this week and I'm actually in really good shape for the start of the season as according to my coach he was like " Hey Coop(my nickname), you're looking like your in really good shape, looking faster and thinner".

I eat A LOT more than some boys, but when I did eat meat I did feel heavy and uncomfortably full when I ate too much but since I haven't eaten meat in the past couple days (still eat around the same amount of calories) I feel more vibrant, like I had the the track workout from hell yesterday and every part of my body is hurting yet I woke up almost hour before my alarm went off which is VERY ODD (I usually wake up at like 5:50-6:00 I woke up at 5:00 and Im the type of person who cherishes sleep on school nights)

I sound dumb asking this but am I feeling more energized because I haven't been eating meat???
I don't know if I can give up meat forever but since I've been doing so well in practice each day and I'm trying to end my high school track career with a bang, I can put the meat on hold! lol

some of the typical stuff I had for meals the past couple days

Breakfast- 2 cups whole grain Cheerios or Life cereal w/ glass of juice (no milk I like dry cereal) and a multi vitamin
Lunch- PB&J on whole wheat, an apple, Activia yogurt & water
Dinner: 2 eggs, 2 toasted pieces of bread no butter, carrots and cabbage (like half a plate full), a cup of almond milk
My every so often desert: a 60cal cup water ice with tea and spoonful of sugar.

sorry this is alot but I'll appreciate everyones answers and opinions

thanks :)

Answers:

I felt the same way when I became a vegetarian, it felt like i had a lot more energy than usual. I also noticed the different feeling of fullness. I don't know if this is helpful but i was nervous when i first started giving up meat but when i got blood work done at the doctors everything was great (iron levels, protein, calcium)

Oh Yes!
