The food you eat is very important. When changing your diet from being a meat eater to a vegetarian deff does affect your body. Different foods have different elements and minerals that your body needs. For example iron and protein. When you change your diet out of nowhere to a straight vegetaria diet it triggers your body to think its not receiving the same nutrients as before. If your side effects does not disappear then you should visit a NUTRITIONIST. Doctors are not trained in nutrition so it wouldnt make no sense to go to the doctor. More times then none they will tell you to do the opposite of what your really supposed to. I RECOMMEND LETTING YOUR BODY GET USED TO THE DIET, before you decide to visit the NUTRITIONIST.
"you should visit a NUTRITIONIST."
No - you should visit a dietitian. Dietitians are trained doctors, the job title is a protected term. A nutritionist isn't - anyone can go "hey, I think I know a bit about food" and call themselves a nutritionist. Typically, nutritionist = quack.
That said; what are you eating? You need to eat a balanced diet (actually good advice whether you're an omnivore or a vegan) to be healthy. If your idea of vegetarianism is a bowl of lettuce and a bag of chips, you might need to look to broadening your horizons a little.
There's always the chance that you've simply got a cold, of course. (-:
I'd nearly 100% assume that is from a badly planned diet one that isn't including enough sources of zinc iron & protein. Just eating the vegetables made for dinner ain't gonna cut it, you're going to have to widen your horizons & eat more salads/fruits/nuts/beans/root-vegetalbes like onion etc etc. Potatoes peas & carrots is just a bad diet not a vegetarian diet (well it is but its a bad one)
As a woman you have to watch out for the iron lost in your periods, i'm a guy so don't ask me how other than a supplement may help. As somebody posted out a dietician is a mile better for info than the net
Protein, Iron, zinc, copper, B-12, calcium.
These are all things you are probably not getting enough of if you haven't planned out a healthy vegetarian diet. Lack of these things will cause all the symptoms you are describing and more health problems later if not addressed.
The less energy bit I agree with...the others no.
A long term change with being a veggie is you will pass more wind, sorry, but thats the way it is.
try taking vitamin supplements. ive been a veggie for almost a year now and ive never had those symptoms. Or maybe your just coming down with a cold?
