Vegans are you against eating caviar? Do you own any pets?!

Question: Vegans are you against eating caviar? Do you own any pets?
Did your pet consent to being owned?

Did your cat/ dog or whatever you own consent to being put in a cage, sold, and enslaved simply for your enjoyment?

Is your pet neutered or spayed? Did your pet consent to having its genitals mutilated?

Answers:

Absolutely. It's still eggs.
Yes, I own 3 cats.
Not really, but we bought them all from shelters so I'm pretty sure they prefer the house to a small cage.
They did not consent, but it's better than living in a tight cramped cage, you've got to admit. If our society could support free range cats living in the wild, I'd let them go out, but we've domesticated them almost to the point of helplessness.
Yes, all my cats are spayed/neutered. No, they didn't consent, but it's better than having an overrun population of unwanted kitties.

caviar is an animal product and vegans don't eat animal products.

i don't have a pet but i used to have a fish. many animals love there owners and there are tons of stories about pets saving their owners' lives. besides not all vegans are against animals as companions, just because you are doesn't meat we all have to be. also, i am against humans

slavery but i still babysit children from time to time.

doing what's best for the animal can't be held against the owner. many parents take their children to the doctor to get a shot and the kid might not consent. does that mean we shouldn't do it?

I'm a vegan and I have pets. Since they were abandoned and living in a shelter I'm going to have to assume that they consented to me welcoming them into my home. They came spayed/neutered and I'm going to have to assume that they consented to that as well. Why would I say that? Would you want to have children that you were unable to care for left to die in the streets or "euthanized" for lack of a home?

Fish tastes disgusting. Why would anyone want to eat caviar?

my cat chooses to live with me because every time i let her out she chooses to come back in, my cat is not my slave in fact its quite the opposite

So I see there are still trolls in this section. I haven't been here in about 6 months, so just figured I'd stop by and say hi.

I'm indifferent, and yes I have a dog.
This is none of your business.

DOn't you people get tired of asking the same questions again and again?
