i fthat's the only reason your'e doing it, tha'ts pretty sad.
i dont' personally know any healthy veg*ns either, you should seriously be sure you want to do this and research how to be healthy as well.
as for your quesiton, you can call youself anything you want, but if someone has seen you eat meat yesterday and you say today you're veg*n, you will get laughed at vigorously.

It's your decision, really. When I first went vegan I just told people I was "in the process" of becoming vegan, despite not buying any animal products for a week or two already. I just didn't feel entirely comfortable saying I was vegan yet, I suppose. So if that's how you feel then that's fine, just tell people you're "going vegetarian". If not, and you feel confident about saying you are a vegetarian, go for it! There's no waiting period until you're "allowed" to call yourself vegetarian. :)

Being a vegetarian has nothing to do with calling yourself a vegetarian. You are a vegetarian once you decide to not eat any meat at all. You can call yourself one at any point. However, if you want to be truthful, then I suggest to only call yourself a vegetarian when you are sure you can stick to the diet.

It's my opinion that you should give yourself a little bit of time where you say "I'm trying to go vegetarian" rather than "I am vegetarian." That way if you change your mind for any reason, it's just something that didn't work out rather than something you completely gave up on. Also, you won't get any remarks like "you're not a vegetarian, I saw you eating a burger last week."

It's up to you. You might want to wait several days. I mean, if you have pork sausage for breakfast and grilled cheese for lunch, your family might look at you funny if you tell them "I'm a vegetarian" at dinner. You need to distinguish between having one or two non-meat meals and a permanent change in diet/lifestyle.

People that said no one will judge you are dead wrong. You don't want people thinking your a flake. No one likes being that even if you pretend you don't care what people think that is not true everyone does.

Best to say "I'm giving up meat". Hold off on the vegetarian part until the word gets out that you are giving up meat.

No. But you do have to preach to 10 omnivores about how they are murdering animals before you can call yourself a vegetarian. It's in the rulebook.

As soon as you decide that you're not going to eat meat anymore. No one will judge you for it, remember, its your decision and a healthy one. I hope you like garbanzo beans-they are the BEST. Fried, mashed in hummus, boiled, or even cold. Yum!

No, not necessarily, you can call yourself a vegetarian right from the day you stop eating meat. But just ensure you don't start eating meat again.

No. The moment you decide not to eat meat you are officially vegetarian. Remember this includes gelatine not just meat so no jelly or gummy sweets.

i dont really think it matters, but if you keep doing it for a while and you dont crave meat at all, then id say you were a vegetarian lol

It's better to call yourself one right away, because then you will feel less inclined to give up due to feeling stupid if everyone in your family or friends heard you were vegetarian, but you decided to eat meat like four days later.

I'm a vegetarian 21 hours out of everyday. The other three hours I'm usually eating meat.

I called myself a vegetarian as soon as I stopped

well what do you think? If you think your going to end up eating meat soon... then don't... otherwise call your self a vegetarian when ever you want.

I think you could call yourself a vegetarian straight away if you do really mean your going to stop eating meat.
