Question: Do the hormones, steroids etc in most chicken have negative effects on persons mood that eats them?
please explain why and how it makes one feel to eat chicken with steroids etc?

how the mood, etc changes and why? is same in fish? or how different?

why more dont care about this?

It is illegal to use steroids and/or hormones in raising chickens in most civilized countries (for instance the FDA ban it in the USA), but you should bear in mind that there is no evidence that meat raised using hormones (since the hormones are metabolized by the animal eating them.....otherwise they would HAVE no effect!) has ANY negative impact on humans that consume them...



I'm unsure about the UK laws, but US laws do not allow steroids or hormones in chickens at any point in their life if they are going to be slaughtered for food. Surprised me, too, but that is the truth--The reason chickens are so huge is because of breeding. (Breed a big bird with a big bird, you get a bigger bird. Breed that bigger bird with another, the cycle continues.)

I don't really know, but after I stopped eating meat I have had a lot more energy and have been in a better mood all the time.
