Is it true that eating eggs is like getting an abortion?!

Question: Is it true that eating eggs is like getting an abortion?
That's what I've always thought of it as, what do you think?

Answers:

The eggs are not fertilized, so it is the exact opposite of an abortion.

A chicken egg is the equivalent to a woman's period.

However, animals are abused to produce eggs, so you should try and eat eggs that are cage free and are certified humane.

Vegetarian

It works as an analogy, as the two are similar, yet they are not the same. Most people use the analogy that a chicken egg is comparable to a menstrual cycle. There are flaws in this analogy, but it can be used to make people understand something better.

I don't think it can really be compared to an abortion as this is the removal of a developing embryo from a female human. Most chicken eggs are not fertilized. I would say that the eating of Balut(which is done in the Philippines) would be a better analogy for abortion.

???

1. Eating Eggs doesn't make you have cramps or bleed heavily.
2. Eating Eggs doesn't require you to take antibiotics twice a day with breakfast and dinner.
3. Eating Eggs does not put metal objects and other instruments in your body.

So No, it is not.

I think you don't understand how chickens work. The eggs you buy at the supermarket are not fertilized. It's not an unborn baby; you are just eating the hen's menstrual flow.

kay thats just gross, i've never thought of eating an egg as the chickens period ... i dont think i'll be eating much eggs anymoreee -.-

no the eggs are never fertilized, there is no baby chicken inside it
if that's what you were asking

I've done both and I promise you they don't compare.
