The story takes place in a small suburban town in England. A 12 year old boy named Charlie has a dream of going to meet Mr Willy Wonka who runs a Chocolate Factory. Al though he is 'not rich' he hasn't much hope that he will find the last winning Golden Ticket, hidden in a chocolate bar...

He distributes local newspapers out when he hears about the Competition to meet the man who creates the chocolate but poor Charlie hasn't enough money to buy a chocolate until he finds a penny down the drain, picks it up and buys a delicious Willy Wonka Bar with it...

And with his luck Charlie is the finder of the last Willy Wonka Bar. He then goes to the Factory with his Grampa Joe, and later is given the factory to run and keep.
