what is a good vegan cookbook that uses normal food?!
Im vegetarian but i want a vegan cookbook one that uses normal foods for someone from north america. I want one that has normal recipes not things that are hard to make. I have THE CONSIOUS COOK which cost 35$ and almost nothing in it i can make its just lfussy heute cuisine. i want food suitable for every day life for a busy poorperson not fussy vegan dishs only suitable for dinner parties and alecia silverstone.
i currently am using regular mexican and east indian cookbooks and picking out the vegan recipies but id like to find one that is 100% vegan and more american-style cooking
thanks!

I would recommend Donna Klein's vegan cookbooks. I'm not a very experienced cook but everything I make from her cookbooks are really easy and taste great. My favorites are:

And

Hello
Look at the free vegan recipe videos below, there are around 80 on youtube from the same woman. They are easy to do and with standard ingredients, no fancy expensive things etc. I think she has a book coming out. Click all videos, date added on the right hand side and watch them ok.

I hate spending money on those vegan cookbooks that use expensive, exotic ingredients they you've never heard of and can't find. The internet has become my favorite cookbook.
Wow: $35 for a book you don't use. What a ripoff! Take a look at some websites (they're usually free). Here's one that has a lot of recipes:
