Did people eat strawberries in England in the 1880s?!

people have been eating strawberries since the beginning of time and p.s they had more stuff that we do and more fruits available to them also they food was more delicious with no chemical crap so if they knew how we the people of 21 century live they would feel very much sorry for us :)

I think they did. In Dickens' "Oliver Twist" the fruit peddlers sold strawberries, IIRC. (I'm positive they did in the movie, but I'm not as positive it appeared in the book.)
Yes when in season. They grew wild and were cultivated depending on the region.They could have been preserved in jams or dried.
The 1880's weren't that long ago.
England doesnt have to import strawberries.. they grow here, so yes, people did eat them in the 1880s.
