It's a petroleum product that is tested on animals. Not vegan. When there are plenty of products out there that have the same purpose without petroleum and animal testing Vaseline makes little to no sense.

vegan because animals are not property

am intrigued as to your plans for its use, depending on the answer.

it may not be veggie if taken literally. vaseline is a by product of oil. oil is ancient rotted organic matter. it would most likely contain dead fish, insects, frogs , and whatever, as well as trees and vegetation. i would say .... no!.

bored chef on a night off with nothing better to think about.

No, it isn't vegan. It doesn't contain any animal products but it is made by Unilever who test on animals. However, generic (and cheaper) brands are suitable for vegans. I use Boots brand and I stick in the tin that Vaseline came in. I had one and it ran out so I just reused the tin.

Don't think it is even veggy. I tried to find out a while ago and somebody told me there was bone char involved in it. Lush have some really good lipbalms, and one in particular is very similar to vaseline. The staff in there will help you find it.

you don't eat Vaseline, but its from the manufacture of petroleum, and doesn't have any animal parts involved.

Hello

Yes it is, but its been processed with a lot of chemicals. Natural Virgin Organic Coconut Oil is much better.

Its not vegan because its made by Unilever. Unilever test their products on animals.
