Going vegan again - need some help =]?!
The problem was I generally don't eat enough (maybe 800 - 900 calories) when I was vegan.
Now, I went back to being vegetarian and eating anything with milk I could find. I just finished watching earthing-lings and i'm really sick to my stomach and I want to be vegan for good.
The only problem is I eat out a lot, and I don't buy my own food. So I'm tempted [ but it can be done] How are ways to avoid temptation?
Sometimes my cravings/temptations talk louder than the fact that milk/cheese is not healthy for me.

I think it will be difficult for anyone to be healthy if they eat out a lot. You just don't know how much fat or sodium the cook is putting in things, and if you mean fast food, forget it. Purely from a health standpoint, consider cooking more. It doesn't have to be complicated.
For a vegan to rely on eating out, frankly, you're just going to miss out on a lot and no wonder you are tempted. I can make things vegan at home that no one else is going to make for me: cakes, muffins, cookies, calzones, lasagna, pancakes, waffles, etc.
For not eating enough, I'm not sure which food group you're short on. Here is my favorite food pyramid: http://vegan.uchicago.edu/nutrition/01.h… Those servings ought to get you pretty close to your calorie target, and then you can fill in with whatever else you want to eat, either more of the healthy stuff or a treat.
The antidote for temptation is knowledge of that stuff is that you want to eat. When I see muffins in a display case, I see chick hatcheries and battery cages. You've seen Earthlings - call up an image when you are tempted, not to punish yourself, but to empower yourself to do what YOU think is right.
Good luck.
i'd say just use the money you spend for fast food on vegan food at your local health store.
also, there's actually lots of vegan "junk food" out there that tastes just as good as or better than the real thing ! (:
you should buy a vegan cookbook with some of your favorite recipes in it and try experimenting in the kitchen.
and, to really avoid temptation from the real thing, just actually THINK about what you're eating.. think about how bad it is for you, how it'll make you feel afterwards, etc, etc.
the book "skinny *****"
annnd i'm vegan ! :D
I think just not eating enough calories is the biggest pitfall in the vegan diet. Veggies don't have many calories. You need to eat almost constantly to get the 1200-2000 you need to just maintain yourself if you're an adult. If you're an active, growing youngster, you probably need more calories.
You need protein honey! I would agree that you need to, at the very least, eat some fish for your Omega 3's or take a supplement. If you insist on going vegan, try stir frying tofu with your favorite greens. I use soy sauce with pea pods, mushrooms, broccoli, cabbage, and water chestnuts.
It isn't healthy to eat a lot of meat but it is not healthy to go Vegan either. You need omega 3 from fish at least. You should go back to being a vegetarian who minimizes her consumption of dairy and fish.
