Hi i'll answer your questions by the number:
1. A vegetarian diet is nutritionally balanced if the person on the diet gets proper vitamin sources through balanced food choices, for example calcium from milk and cheese, protein from eggs, beans, etc... The balance of carbs and protein is achieved on this diet from dairy derived proteins and carbs such as potatoes or rice. The needed balance of vegetables and fruit is not usually a concern for vegetarians or vegans.
2. Some of the main concern when planning menus or ordering out is if things are cooked with chicken broth, stock, bouillon, or stock. Whether an ingredient is made from a fish derived source like anchovies or shellfish is another concern.
3. It is my knowledge from reading that vegans or vegetarians do not need any vitamin or mineral supplements; all nutrients are gained through the food we eat. A vegetarian/vegan, however may take a multi-vitamin for extra security.
4. The health advantages to a vegetarian diet have said to be less risk of Cancer, obesity, and the advantages of a vegan diet have said to be clearer skin.
5. Some of the disadvantages of following a vegetarian diet are cravings we can get especially if we grew up on meat, weight gain from eating more carbs than an omnivore diet, and finding new ways to get protein.

I need to interview a vegetarian but i don't know any!!! can you answer these?
1. How is a vegetarian diet nutritionally balanced?
By using a basic idea of how much protein, vitamins and carbs you need throughout a day it's quite easy to devise a vegetarian meal plan for yourself. Beans and legumes are one of the most staple items in a diet. They provide a lot of protein and can vary for different recipes. From kidney, black, chickpeas, lentils, split peas etc. Soy products are also really great.
2. What are the main concerns when planning menus?
It's easy to get stuck in a carb frenzy so you have to plan around that. You can't just eat pasta every night there needs to be a lot of fresh vegetables and beans once again.
3. Do you need to take a nutritional supplement? Why? What type of supplement and what type of vitamins and minerals does it contain?
If you are eating a balanced diet supplements aren't necessary. If I feel low in iron then I just eat lots of spinach in my next meal etc. Sometimes I take an ordinary multivitamin if I have been in a rush that week and haven't planned my meals rights. Just centrim
4. What are the health advantages of being a vegetarian?
It's a fresher lifestyle, you can lose weight sometimes but mostly it's better for your insides. Your system detoxs better.
5. What are some of the disadvantages of following a vegetarian diet?
There aren't a whole lot. Maybe eating out if they're aren't as many options or people constantly asking "why are you vegetarian?" Other than that it's all about the pros in this lifestyle!

I have been a vegetarian for almost three years now, and it has been great so far, as far as your questions go, I'll try my best to answer them.
1. My diet is heavy on beans and nuts to get protein that I would normally acquire through eating meat, as well as cheese and soy.
2. Mainly is anything cooked in something with meat products in it, i.e Chicken stock.
3. To make sure I get all the vitamins I need I take a Multivitamin that I buy from www.hipjointpainrelief.com/store. Girls might want to consider and Iron supplement so they don't become anemic, and there are probably a few more good supplements that wouldn't hurt to take.
4. I feel as though I have more energy, and I am not so weighed down.
5. It is hard, and a little tedious to avoid eating meat sometimes. Dinner parties can be challenging, and I have ended up eating my fair share of bread and butter at these events.

1) We get pretty much all of the nutrients needed, calcium, protein, vitamins.
2) Making sure it's something everyone will enjoy since most people are meat lovers.
3) Don't need to take any pills.
4) Not much concern about becoming overweight, getting all of my nutrients.
5) some of the nutrients like protein I have to make sure I eat certain foods like beans to get.

I'm an Indian, so it's easier for me to be a vegetarian since I have a lot more options in food other than salads and stuff.
