Ratio to substitute almond flour for ground almonds?!

Question: Ratio to substitute almond flour for ground almonds?
i have almond flour at my house and i wanted to make some amaretti for christmas cookies.
HOWEVER........ the recipe calls for 3 cups of blanched, slivered almonds, and then says to process it to a fine meal, which i think essentially means almond flour
how much almond flour would i use to substitute for the ground almonds?
i dont want to end up using too much or too little and ruining the cookies

the recipe i'm using is below:

thank you very much!
