I did not read the article nor am I a vegetarian, HOWEVER, I do know that ruminants (such as cattle, sheep, goats, etc) and their products (milk, meat, etc), though I'm not sure about hogs or poultry, are high in CLA--Conjegated Linoleic Acid, which is anti-cancer. While all ruminants (and like I said, MAYBE hogs and poultry, I'd have to check) are very high in CLA, I do know that grass fed animals are the best source of CLA. However, hay-fed (hay is essentially dried, harvested grass or legumes) and silage/baleage/haylage-fed (which is similar to hay except it's been fermented) animals are also very high in CLA. Most dairy cattle on more industrial style operations (inside a barn for the majority of the time) are fed silage. Also, cattle in feedlots are also fed a portion of silage and/or hay.

So eating meat and dairy products CAN help reduce the risk of cancer you may have because it is high in Conjegated Linoleic Acid.

why try and cause an argument the ethics of a position are crucial and any meat is inefficient in terms of feeding the world.
