Question for vegetarians?!

Question: Question for vegetarians?
I understand that vegetarians are against eating animals, and I have noticed that even some vegetarians try to force their beliefs onto others, regarding what to eat. My question is directed more to that group of vegetarians.

And so to the point. My question is: if you somehow made everyone in the world take on your beliefs and lifestyle, meaning, no one would eat any animals of any kind or harm them in anyway, what would we do with the vast amount of animals that would overpopulate the world?

Answers:

People would stop breeding animals for food. I assume food animals would not be allowed to go feral, to breed on their own, so their population would be reduced dramatically, in the long run. Current food animals would be allowed to "retire" and die naturally, and a few might be continue to be bred specifically as pets.

Wild animal populations might grow to some extent, if you take human hunting out of the picture. I doubt this would cause "overpopulation" in most parts of the world; I would expect "avoiding extinction" would be the better term. Large predators would make a comeback, since people would stop killing them for killing livestock. In fact, we might encourage such predators, since the damage in the future would be done by their prey, eating our crops.

I suppose some wildlife management might continue to be necessary, at least until the population balances, and that meat might go for pet food or to feed animals in zoos (or wildlife rehabilitation centers if carnivorous pets or zoos are banned).

I understand that some vegetarians try to force their beliefs on others but trust me, it goes the other way too. You're happily tucking into your dinner, minding your own business and someone insists that you explain why you're a vegetarian while making it clear that they think you're an idiot.

.
If people want to raise animals in reasonably good conditions or hunt, I could get on board with that. This will mean that people would have to eat a lot less meat and pay more for it because the only way to produce the huge quantities of cheap ( in the money sense, there are huge hidden costs ) meat that is eaten today is in factory farms where billions ( yes, I said, billions ) of animals are reared and slaughtered each year in conditions that give them a terrible quality of life and have a very detrimental impact on the environment.

We breed cattle etc expressly for food. If, hypothetically, everyone went vegan, do you think we'd carry on breeding them?

"ZOMG, animal overpopulation" is often trotted out by the hard of thinking as another stick to beat veggies with. It's a shame, because if they had a few more brain cells they might notice that they're dangerously close to hitting on something that would actually be a problem. If everyone went vegan, we'd be critically short of farmland suitable for growing enough crops to feed everyone. Poor old Bessie would still end up being sliced up and dumped on the EU Beef Mountain, sorry love, we need your field. At least it'll give us something to feed the trolls with though.

I don't believe that I would ever change anyone's mind about their eating habits, but if the world stopped breeding animals for their meat and they then returned to the wild and rebuilt their numbers until they presented a problem to us or themselves, then nature could still work it out without our interference. We are not smarter than the ecosystem.

I'm not vegetarian, but the flaw in your reasoning is gaping. You see there's something called the biosphere, more or less the network of organisms on this planet. The numbers all balance out naturally, as was the case for thousands of years. We're the exception.

No animals would overpopulate anything, because most of the animals non-vegetarians eat are bred especially for human needs - food. If no-one ate meat, no-one would breed chickens and make them "edible" in ten days only, etc.

Every creatures on earth are made by-God or a part of nature, we as per our selfish requirement
turn it in a right decision, but nothing is justified Animals harms us if we do not disturb their livings

They would let them live their life to a natural starving death.

I think the balance of the nutrition is of most important. Vegetables are good for our health, while, proper amount of meat is also for our intelligence and physical strength. Of course, over hunting will cause disruption of ecological balance, which will threaten the existence of mankind itself.

That's a good question. I'm half a vegetarian so I try to eat as little meat as possible but some people I know cry when they see meat. I don't know why it affects them but I guess thats why they force their beliefs.
