I'm about to just stop eating. It's becoming such a hassle?!

Print this out and go shopping with this list. It is a full list of animal ingredients, not only in food but other products. I applaud you for going vegan and not letting anyone stand in your way. I too am vegan and at first it was really hard because I did not know what I could eat. But it was a fun challenge and I don't mind the things I cant eat now, bc it turned into i do not want to eat it ^__^
Good luck and stand strong in what you want to do.. btw for all those people that told you just to be vegetarian.. vegetarians DO make a GREAT impact on helping animals... but they don't make a MAJOR impact.. animals are used in SO many things.. add it all up in one day and see how many animals were killed for their food/supplies. Good luck and stand strong <3
It's been said that if it has either 5 or 10 more ingredients, it's not natural. It's difficult but if you're that determined to eat that healthy, start growing your own veggies and fruits. My father grows his own herbs and tomatoes and I can always tell the difference between store bought and naturally grown tomatoes, the natural taste the best but of course. You can start to cook and bake things with natural foods. It seems that you're determined to only eat natural so if you really wanna eat the real stuff then you really gotta work for it, trust me, it's worth it! :]
I would suggest you stick with it for now.
Other people have given links to animal products - eventually these will get absorbed in your brain, and you'll be able to scan most lists of ingredients and know if its vegan without having to refer to anything.
What I often do is search online for particular items to check if they're vegan, if the packaging doesn't say either way.
And don't be afraid to try new foods, and different brands. You'll end up with a whole load of different things that you KNOW are vegan, and it'll make your life a lot easier.
vegan and organic... thats pretty hard to handle...
i am a vegetarian and i have no complaints.
try to be just a vegan, then things will get simpler.
you can cook lots of different meals with the fresh veggies from the market.
its easier said than done, i know, just my opinion.
i totally agree with you.. it disgusts me.
i just buy all organic and whole foods.. it is more expensive, but worth it so you don't have to put all that **** in your body.
organic vegan.
Hello
I agree with you, it can actually make you neurotic.
I get you, I had the same problem. But I think the important thing is that when your conscious that it is not vegan that you do not eat it, but if you don't know or didn't then don't beat yourself up about it. Although don't stop checking labels that's just part of being vegan (for obvious things), but if you had absolutely no clue that an ingredient isn't vegan then don't trip. Somebody made a point to me it was something like "you'll never be happy if you go searching for a problem in everything." And this was regarding veganism, they were saying to do what you can and how much you can but make sure that you can and basically don't kill yourself doing it. If you were to stop eating, I wouldn't blame you though.
Also here's a list that says everything you should be aware of, it helps, I just try to keep it in mind. The first four are the same list of non-vegan ingredients just in different formats, and the last three are vegan food lists.

Dioxin is completely natural and completely organic(in both senses of the word). You can't synthesize your own food out of CO2 and photons... and that means you have to kill something in order to sustain yourself. Are you really going to argue that beer and potato chips (which meets the definition of vegan) is really more healthful than eating an occasional slab of meat? A diet isn't necessarily healthful just b/c it's vegan. And despite your love of animals unless you're living in a cave on an island in the middle of the ocean you're engaged in practices that are detrimental to animals. It always amuses me when someone implies that just bc they stopped eating meat they're somehow some kind of Environmental superhero. If you drive a car then you're fooling yourself.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but, no matter what you eat you are in some way hurting animals well being.
Drinking water - takes away from the fishys
Eating veggies - What are the writtle baby bunnies gonna eat?
Home grown veggies - Digging in the dirt disturb the little baby wormies
Bread - All those wheat crops destroying animal homes :'(
Gobstoppers - no idea??
My advice - BUY A BIG STEAK WITH SOME SWEET BABY RAYS.... SEE WHAT YOUVE BEEN MISSING OUT ON
You should probably stop being a vegan, you guys are such pricks. Obviously it's not that important to you, you just want to make a statement, as per your provocative question. Brb, gotta have a veal ham bacon steak cheeseburger topped with lamb tears.
to piss off vegans. trust me i used to be vegan until my doctor told me that aids was depleting my fat and i needed to eat some good ol grease. Dont ya love bacon and all its greasy goodness. or does tofurkey fit your tastes better. Are you vegan because you dont like food or because you actually believe those lies. Oh and my vegan friend eats raw dog.
Why are you a vegan? It doesn't matter if something contains "animal products," as long as it's not meat it shouldn't matter to you. You're only harming yourself and your mom's bank account with your diet. Why not just be a vegetarian instead?
