I just saw the BP. Eliminate it Proceed with caution. This is the kind of fruitcake people give away!!!! Who knows...maybe its good?
Do not proceed with this recipe!!!
A cup of self rising flour = one cup of all purpose flour, 1? teaspoons of baking powder and ? teaspoon of salt. You would need to reduce the baking powder in your recipe appropriately, but since your recipe has no salt to take out, I think the product might turn out too salty.
Just run to the store and get some flour. You're risking wasting an enormous amount of food if the recipe doesn't turn out well.
For the 8 whole eggs, you can do 8 1/4 cups mashed bananas OR (in other words) 2 cups mashed bananas...
For the margarine, you can do 2 cups of vegan butter spread or you might even try vegetable shortening...
I have a question, what's not vegan about regular flour?
Vegan
regular flour with one teaspoon of baking powder makes self raising!
edit: just realised you meant the other way round
just take out the baking powder :)
Cut out the baking powder, as it's what causes the cake to rise.
baking
All purpose flower
My mind : )
