Can anyone recommend a really good vegan cookbook?!

My favourites from my own collection are:
Vegan with a vengeance / Isa Chandra Moskowitz.
Now vegan! / Lynda Stoner.
How it all vegan! / Tanya Barnard & Sarah Kramer.
The tropical vegan kitchen / Donna Klein.
Vegan cookies invade your cookie jar / Isa Chandra Moskowitz & Terry Hope Romero.
and, to a lesser extent:
Skinny b*tch in the kitch / Rory Freedman & Kim Barnouin. (It's much cheaper than the other titles because it's a small paperback and it doesn't have colour photos of the dishes. Their choice of ingredients leaves a little to be desired however, but I guess if you're on a tight budget, this book might be a reasonable choice.)
If I have the money, I'm going to buy:
Veganomicon / Isa Chandra Moskowitz & Terry Hope Romero.
The Mediterranean vegan kitchen / Donna Klein.
Vegan cupcakes take over the world / Isa Chandra Moskowitz & Terry Hope Romero.
Another book I can recommend is:
Real vegetarian Thai / Nancie McDermott. (Almost all of the recipes are vegan, or easily converted to vegan.)
Vegan!
My favorites! Four that will not let you down (I promise):
--Viva Vegan, awesome Latin Food cookbook by Terry Hope Romero (links to amazon pages in "Sources")
--Veganomicon and Vegan with a Vengeance, both by Isa Chandra Moskowitz (who is f'ing awesome)
--The Vegan Table by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau (some fancy dishes!)
If I had to pick just one for a beginner it would be Vegan with a Vegeance. Of course, once you start with that one you'll want to pick up the others, starting with Veganomicon. Good luck! May your brother become an awesome vegan chef.

Every time I'm in Barnes & Noble I always check out the Vegetarian section and this is the book I keep coming back to. I plan on buying it myself when I have some extra cash.

Christina Cooks: Everything you Always Wanted to Know About Whole Foods... by Christina Pirello is really good. Lots of beautiful dishes that can be made for two, or a party. It's not only vegan, but whole foods oriented. She doesn't use white sugar, or white flour. Everything I've made from it so far has been great, with the exception of baked goods. But I think that's my fault. It takes a certain nack to make egg-less pastries. But so far as soups, pastas, salads, and meatless entrees, she offers up no shortage of imaginative and colorful recipes. She also has a website www.christinacooks.com and you can peruse lots of recipes there to get a feel for what her cooking is like.
Soy not Oi is a great cookbook, and very very cheap. Every Recipe I've tried is great. It's also very cute and punk rock.
