Question for teens who are vegetarians...?!

Question: Question for teens who are vegetarians...?
I am a vegetarian myself, but I'm wondering when you have kids is it going to be their choice to become vegetarians or are you going to force them?

hmm.

I would not force my children to be anything. Religion, food preference, sexual/gender identity, anything.

My plan is to offer both veg and meat dishes at each meal (since the man i'm planning to have children with is an omnivore) and let them choose. And they don't have to label themselves until they fel comfortable.

Hmm :P Interesting question...
This depends also on the husband I'm with (:
If he's a vegetarian also, then our child would probably be raised as a vegetarian, but he/she would be aloud to make their own choice whether or not they want to eat meat later on :D

If my husband wasn't a vegetarian, then my child would probably eat meat when he cooked, and eat vegetarian food when I cooked.

I think it's a very personal decision, and that when the kid(s) grow up, they should be aloud to make their own choices (:
I'm only fourteen though, so I don't have to worry about this anytime soon (:

im a teen vegetarian im 15,
i think it depends on how you bring them up and considering if your partner/ huspand is veggie like you or not.

you can if you want raise them as vegetarians, this doesnt mean they will still be vegetarian when the are older and can make there own choices.

my friend at school she was rasied as a vegetarian, but by her own choice changed to be pescetarian-eats fish eggs dairy ect but no meat.

good luck

I will raise them the way I eat- vegetarian, with some local, well-treated eggs and dairy.

If they choose to go their own way, once they are old enough to understand the environmental/ethical consequences of eating meat, and if they're willing to make they're own meals- of course I will let them do that. I'm all for independent thinking.

I will probably raise my kids vegetarian. I think it would be stupid if I am a vegetarian and I have to cook meat for my children.

Most omnivore parents don't choose to raise their kids vegetarian. It is not forcing children by raising them vegetarian. It is your diet so naturally you assume that you will raise your kids the same way.

Well obviously if your a vegetarian you are obviously open for new ideas finding a filler for the meat so don't you want to give your children an open mind? Take 'em out to dinner a few times and ask them to order a different meat every time when they are mature and let them decide also tell them why you are a vegetarian. Best of luck.

don't force them open up both doors give both sides and see what they choose.

Their choice, I honestly don't care. Plus I don't know a guy vegetarian so there will be meat in the house.

i would raise them vegan like me
