Health care costs would go way down.

The meat and dairy industries ahve enjoyed government subsidies for years,
so you have a situation whereby politicians are essentially using taxpayer money to incentivize eating unhealthily.

Obviously, meat would never be completely removed from the market overnight, so the question's a bit ridiculous.
It would be phased out gradually.

if everyone one became vegetarian/vegan, it wouldn't happen overnight. It'd be a slow process of losing the jobs it creates. but in the end it'd be fine. because think of all the useful things we could build where all the slaughter houses are now. And it would help lots of other agriculture workers and stuff because we'd have to eat something in replace of meat.

I'd die of malnutrition within a few years (allergic to soy and can't tolerate many vegetables).
