Good.
Even when they're fresh they're slightly slimy.
Note the word"slightly".
If goo is dripping down your hands, obviously it's no good, but it would also stink the house up.
Smells OK, slight slime=normal and good.

How many years have you been selling lunch meats?
I've been in the same business 44 years.

What he has is normal.
He'll know if it's bad by the smell.
Slime( slight) is natural in prepackaged meats.
The vacuum pack+ sodium, keeps them well beyond the expiration date( and his has tons of life left).

Get a job in a deli before you tell someone not to listen to people in the business.
Do you think I want him to get sick? I know what I'm saying ( you don't).
Slime does not=bad in this case!

Ask for a refund. Oscar Meyer is the phoniest tasting meat. Lunch meats like Oscar Mayer contains high amounts of sodium. Just one slice has 310 mg sodium. It is also usually made up of mechanically separated meats, Also, because it mainly prepackage crap, I don't why it has a high price tag as deli meats.

PLEASE don't eat it. It may not make you sick but when you use words like "slimy" to describe your food, you're asking for trouble. Don't listen to anyone who tells you it's okay to eat- be safe. Where will these people be when you're in the hospital recovering from food poisoning?
