The miracle food is fresh carrot juice. If you have a juicer, have someone juice you a bag of carrots, one in the morning and one at night until you feel better. You can add apples to this or strawberries, for example, for extra flavor.
Sometimes when I'm sick (because I don't have a juicer anymore) I microwave hot water and put a peppermint or mint leaf tea bag in it. Squeeze in fresh lemon juice and sip on it.
Eat plenty of foods with vitamin C in them like oranges, strawberries, bell peppers, tomatoes, and jalepenos. Garlic and onion are natural antiseptics that when raw, work to kill bacteria in flu and colds.

Vegan

Drink lots of fluids--juice, tea, water. You can have vegan soup--Annie Chun's makes a great Udon Noodle Bowl that just takes a few minutes to prepare and one minute in the microwave Emergen-C makes vitamin supplement packets that might help you; most are vegan. Ricola makes natural cough drops. You can also suck on hard candies if you have a sore throat.

When it comes to colds and other nasty ailments, you can't cure yourself any quicker; you just have to let the virus make its way through your system. So drink lots of fluids, eat well if you're up to it, and get lots of rest.

Eat grapes that have seeds. They have a nice dose of OPC, a very powerful antioxidant many times more powerful than numerous vitamins. (such as vitamin C)

Also juice an entire lemon for a healthy anti-microbial drink that also boost the immune.

Eating rinds of citrus etc, all about obtaining powerful bioflavnoids like OPC.

I would try lots of citrus like oranges, tangerines. And I mean LOTS like eat 7 or 8 of them in a row.

I have no basis for this recommendation, just gut feeling it will work.

Well, first of all go to your local pharmacy and get something for your cold/flu
And second: Eating something is not going to work all of the time.

Drink warm tea during the day and make sure to get plenty of rest. I've been sick once since going vegan and that's what I did. I was perfectly fine in a day or two.

vegan :D

all is fair in Love and war!
Extrapolate the same if medically warranted

Venison is a very good source of all the nutrients needed to feel better. The best part is that it isn't chicken, cow, or pig!
