Is it acceptable to preach animal rights to omnivores if you;?!

Question: Is it acceptable to preach animal rights to omnivores if you;?
if you live in a house that is powered and heated by either gas, coal or nuclear, drive or use public transport, buy your clothes and gadgets and have a modern home!!!

Answers:

We are all a bit contradictory, in a way or another...this is not the point. The point is: when someone judges you, what you should do is think about what he said and see if you can take some good points out of his judgement..if you don't consider it to be a good advice, just keep on doing what you're doing. In the end, we're all masters of ourselves, we have the power to decide whether to change or not, based on our own ideas and on advices of people surrounding us.

Sure it's acceptable to preach to your family if you feel passionate about what you believe in, whatever that may be. A diet is a very private matter, however, and should only be preached to immediate family and you should also be willing to listen to their countrargument if you start the preaching.
For the other part of your question, it's well known amongst vegans that dead dinosaurs, fossil fuels are used for the gas in our cars and to heat our homes. It should be known that a person cannot be 100% vegan in this world. To be a vegan, one must take a practical approach to it and it means doing the best you can to avoid animal product.

Vegan

I would argue that it is rude to preach even if you are fully sustainable.

That being said, I don't fault vegetarians who aren't 100% green. While some vegetarians are certainly vegetarian primarily because of environmental concerns, many have other motivations. If a primary motivator for being a vegetarian is health, then suggesting that they are hypocrites for living in a modern home is rather silly. The same goes for those who simply aren't comfortable with contributing to the slaughter industry. If someone is vegetarian because they have a problem with eating the dead body of another sentient being, then what they drive really has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on their ethics as a vegetarian.

vegans dont like it when you point out stuff like that, just fyi. i did it the other day and got so many thumbs down it was rediculous. i found a picture of a cow that pointed out just how many things the different parts of a cow were used for in this world (the answer = A LOOOOOOTTT), and omg you would think i just tried to kill their first born child or something.

frankly, if they are going to preach at me about animal rights, they shouldnt get all feisty when i say i like eating meat.

ah your hiting on the contradiction of what an individual wants and what soceity allows

soceity is the reason most of us are not who we are, thats the truth in my view
i only live in the way i do cos soceity allows/dictates it

but that doesnt change the fact that i still feel how i do, and yes i think we are all entitleds to rant and rave , or preach, every so often, but theres a line between the ocasional need to let it out, and daily ranting and raving at eveyrone

It is never right to "preach" anything to anyone. Where does that get you, anyway?

Giving a legitimate answer when asked a legitimate question is indeed the most acceptable way of handling social situations in general.

When is it ever acceptable to preach?

Never..

Yes.

i guess lol...it would be really funny though :P

It is never acceptable to preach.

To anyone. About anything. Under any circumstances. For any reason.

Its not ok to preach unless you are in church!
