Veggies, what do you think of vegetarianism advocacy?!

Question: Veggies, what do you think of vegetarianism advocacy?
I've been reading in this section that many claim just shut up and respect the choices of others and that preachy vegans are annoying.

I think its great to open your eyes to see the injustice animals go through and stop supporting it. But I personally believe its not enough to just make that change for ourselves and be quiet. Isn't it important to also speak up for the animals? I don't mean it in a militant vegan way and just go around judging. But have an effective strategy to expose what animals go through so more people would care. Sorry, I just feel like I have to do something when I know how much suffering is inflicted on the animals and not many people are doing anything about it. It is not just some believe, its a fact that animals go through hell.

What do you think about vegetarianism advocacy? Would you say vegans and vegetarians should mind their own business and just let it be? Either way I am all for effective vegetarianism advocacy Just wanted to know your thoughts.

As for your question, I completely agree that we should advocate for animal rights. However, it must be done tastefully. Shouting "meat is murder" is not tasteful, and it does not accomplish anything. I try to ever be too preachy. The easiest way to do this, is to only share your opinions when you are prompted. If someone asks you why your vegan or how you get your protein (they are always so concerned about our protein!) then you have the perfect opportunity to advocate for the animals.

I don't really have a problem with it most of the time. I mean, aside from nagging my family, I'm usually pretty quiet about the whole thing, but I still support other vegetarians and semi-vegetarians. It does get a little annoying though when people are constantly rattling on about it, so I guess I'd say vegetarian advocacy and awareness is good to an extent, just don't go overboard...

I have seen people type about how they support veganism and vegetarianism yet seen the same people be rude to the veggie people on here. It doesn't make any sense. If you're really an advocate, be consistent.

i personally think, people should mind their own business. it's quite silly to enforce once opinion on someone else. if u choose to eat snakes go right ahead. if u choose to eat carrots go right ahead. who cares.

No its NOT A FACT that animals go through hell. Its just your opinion that they do. I eat meat, will always eat meat, and believe its my choice to eat meat. I will defend my right to eat what I want by any means.

Just because you have a certain opinion you believe everyone else should share that opinion. Typical pushy vegan.

What makes you think I don't care about others? Just because I eat meat?
