am i too old to become a vegetarian?!

Question: Am i too old to become a vegetarian?
I'm 15 years old and i've eaten meat my whole life, and my grandpa used to be a butcher. I know all my family is going to say that i love meat and that i've eaten it my whole life so why should i give up now?

And don't worry, I've read up a lot about becoming vegetarian and i have a friend who is one who told me what i should eat/not eat etc

No you are not.

It depends on your type of blood. I use to be a vegetarian 10 years ago but i gained weight because of it. Many dont understand that not Everybody can be a vegetarian. I am Type O positive which is a NO NO!! I dont eat sweets & when i became a vegetarian (literally do not eat anything that "walks or swim") i was an Ovulacto-Vegetarian - i eat eggs & drink milk which is the only animal product i consumed but i craved sweets which i dont & never do! Since i became a vegetarian 10 yrs ago, i eat them like crazy. I went to my doctor & he told me that some blood type are harder to be a vegetarian than others. Type A are the most eligible :) Good luck.

You can never be to old to do anything! Then again unless you are 80 playing sports. Well it's your opinion if you want to become one and if you want to chjange your ways thats good! Just make sure to eat many subsitutes for the meat! It is also good for you to not eat to much red meat.

Sister is veg

Wow, you are NOT too old! Most people would say 15 is extremely young. I know most people who did not become veg*n until their late twenties or out of college. In fact, 15 is the perfect age because now you can prepare your own little vegetarian meals and you know what's right and what's not!

:) GO VEGGIES!

I became a vegetarian at 23 - that was 9 years ago and I have never regretted it!
Einstein was a vegetarian for the last few years of his life and he was a lot older than 15, LOL?

Hi Melanie
Too old !! Of course you're not too old - I became a vegetarian when I was 22 and now I'm 61.

I think that you should do whatever you think is the best fo r you. It's never to late to be a vegetarian though . you can start whenever you want.

You're never too old to do the things you want to do. Where there is a will, there's a way.

Vegan

I went veg at 15...it's an awesome age! Just educate yourself, and be smart. Good luck! You're making a wonderful decision for yourself, the animals, and the planet :)

Vegan

Of course not! I went from omnivore to vegan at 38.

Don't worry about the blood type answer. I'm O positive and there isn't any science to back up the idea that some blood types shouldn't be veg*n.

Too old?! M'dear, your life is only just starting.

Besides, you are never too old... my mom only recently became a vegetarian and she's 48. :)
