Graphs/data that supports vegetarianism?!

Question: Graphs/data that supports vegetarianism?
I'm writing a persuasive speech on vegetarianism and am trying to find a few great graphs to go along with it. I've found information suggesting that vegetarians live longer but cannot seem to find a decent graph which supports this, any tips?

You can look up the information on 7th Day Adventist. They're a religious vegetarian group that many point to as proof vegetarians live longer than average. And that's true if you don't adjust for other factors, like smoking, drinking and other risky lifestyles. You might be ok as long as someone in your audience doesn't know Mormons, who do eat meat, don't drink or smoke or live risky lifestyles and live longer than 7th Day Adventist.

The bad things about graphs and data are that they don't prove anything. There is also data that says an omnivores diet is better, and that omnivores live longer. If done right both diets are very healthy. Why not just focus on your own diet and stop trying to persuade anyone into changing to yours. Why do you care what others eat?

Cayla,
Why not call this organization to see if they can fax you some of that information directly to you.
Here's their info: 1996-2009 The Vegetarian Resource Group, PO Box 1463, Baltimore, MD 21203. (410) 366-8343. Email: vrg@vrg.org

It's not as easy to find graphs and charts that represent pseudo facts. I think you would have better luck with a different subject for your speech.
