Some of the Answers you've received really amuse me.
You posted your Question in "Vegetarian & Vegan"...and people are giving you Answers like "meat" and "fish".

I am neither vegetarian nor vegan, BUT I am involved with a woman who is vegetarian. She will eat dairy (milk, cheese, etc) and eggs, but no meat or seafoods. I am also a chef and part-time caterer, so I am always on the "lookout" for different, popular styles of cooking.

I have recently discovered quinoa, a South American grain. Uncooked, it resembles barley in appearance. For a grain, it is VERY high in nutrients, including protein, several B-vitamins, and minerals. It's also easy to find (any health-food store, and nowadays most supermarkets), and very simple to prepare---no more difficult than cooking brown rice.

Also: good old tofu is high on the protein-source list. I have lots of ways to prepare and/or flavor it, to make it more interesting and versatile...feel free to contact me if you like, I'd be happy to share.

I thought a can of tuna had this answer on lockdown...a small can of tuna has 11grams of protein, so tuna, beans and rice would give you a nice edge....tuna packed in oil would be better too, since with proteins you need fats for it to metabolize properly...
don't like tuna? try canned mackerel, and salmon...
when bodybuilding, tuna and fish are used to cut the body, for definition, whereas red meats and beans are used for bulking up when building up.

Answering a serious question with a serious answer!!

Meat, like it or not, its true. If you need a protein boost it would have to be meat!! Why do you think Nomadic reindeer herders and Inuit eat mostly meat, they would die if they depended on vegetables for protein!!

FACT!!

u can try soy...soy products have high proteins....
beans as everyone has said...
