Why am I tired now that I have stopped eating meat, poultry, seafood, pork?!

Question: Why am I tired now that I have stopped eating meat, poultry, seafood, pork?
I don't drink as much water as I should every day (I only drink about eight ounces a day), but I do eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. I make sure to have at least some grain a day. I haven't eaten meat since Tuesday since I am trying to become vegetarian and someday vegan. Is it because the meat that I used to eat gave me energy? Is there alternatives that would give me as much energy as animal meat did? Thank you.

Answers:

There might be a few things to consider: First, going veg is a low calorie diet, since you lose the fat that comes with the meat. (that's okay, you'll live longer :))))
Secondly, you might be low on iron and protein. Protein is not necessary for energy; however, it's needed for the manufacture of hormones, antibodies, enzymes, and tissues. If you don't get the right amount of protein, the body will suffer.
Complete Protein: yogurt, soybeans, beans + rice or corn or nuts or seeds or wheat, and rice + beans or nuts or seeds or wheat.
Iron: prunes, green leafy vegs, whole grains, peaches, eggs, sesame seeds, avocados, dates, paprika, parsley, fortified cereal

What is "energy" in food? Calories!

So as long as you're eating healthy (sounds like you are) and getting roughly the same amount of calories, you shouldn't be feeling lethargic due to diet. Are you getting enough sleep? are you stressed? sick? (if female) about to have your period or just finished? do you get enough exercise (being lazy all day actually makes you MORE tired = scientfic fact), are you in general happy with life (if not you may feel anhedonic (lack of pleasure from things u generally enjoy) which may be associated with lethargy)?

Eating a lot of fruits and vegetables is great, but you really need to replace the meat you used to eat with legumes (beans), nuts and whole grains.

Because all of that is good for you and you are not eating it.

i have been told that redbull gives you wings

Carbs are big source of energy

the energy and protein in the meat was giving you more energy and since you switched you lost out on those protein and energy that the meat provided for you

I bet you $20 if you ate some kind of meat, you'd get your energy back.

Meat is delicious.
