Will taking meat out of my diet make me healthier?!

Question: Will taking meat out of my diet make me healthier?
Im planning become a vegetarian next year.

Answers:

It depends on what food you replace meat with. If you replace meat with highly processed soy products and junk food, then no, you won't be healthier. If you replace meat with beans and eggs, then yes, you could be healthier.

If you eat more than six oz daily then it might be good to just cut down on it. But I don't eat meat, as in any livestock other than seafood, and I am very anemic and it has so been hard for me to raise my hemoglobin because meat has never in my life been a part of my diet for as long as I can remember. If you really like meat, I don't think it would be worth being a vegetarian.

Not necessarily. There are a lot more healthy meat eaters than healthy vegetarians in the US. Cut back on processed and junk foods. Eat a balanced diet, meat, veggies, fruits. Drink water instead of soda or those processed, high sugar drinks and you'll be healthy.

That depends. If you eat nothing but potato chips and Mountain Dew you won't be healthier.

Not necessarily. If your taking out processed meats and fast food meats then yes, you will be healthier. If your taking out fresh lean meat then no. Fresh lean meat eaten in moderation is very healthy.
