I don't wanna be a vegetarian anymore..?!

Question: I don't wanna be a vegetarian anymore..?
I've ben a vegetarian since september i think, and yesterday when my mom went to go pick up food from sonic and the only thing i could get was a grilled cheese sandwich in the kids meal cause everything else was meat. & today my mom's getting subway and i really want to get the meatball sandwich like i always used too and my mom says if i want too i can get meat but i don't have too.. but i would feel weird if i switched to eating meat again because i only ben a vegetarian for like a couple months now and i feel like that would make me look like a idiot and yeah i don't know :/ and plus my parents spent money on buying me boca meat and i still have like a couple of the boxes still in the fridge and my dad would be mad if i wasted their money.. what do you think i should do?

Answers:

I think you should eat what you feel like having and at the same time use/eat the Boca Burger a little at a time so nobody gets mad.

Yes, you can start eating meat regularly.
You haven't been a vegetarian for that long.
Your fine.
Eat!

Truthfully if you were a true vegetarian you could not eat from sonic. You said you ate a grilled cheese sandwich, but do they make the grill cheese sandwich on the same grill where they grill their burgers? True vegetarians do not eat meat nor do they eat off what meat has been cooked from. To be you are not really a true vege so you can go and eat meat.

you are obviously young you should eat the kids meal from subway meat and all.
Go vegetarian when you are older.

You're naturally an omnivore, a creature that eats meat and plants. You may choose to only eat the plants, but that doesn't change your biology. Your stomach will be perfectly able to handle meat if you decide to eat it.

I say eat what you want. As someone else suggested, occasionally eat one of the Boca burgers until they're gone. Your folks will probably be so glad to see you eating normally again that they won't make a big fuss about it.

Or, if your family BBQs some, put them on the grill for the next family BBQ get together and maybe someone else will eat them!

Your digestive system is healthier than mist meat eaters so you have any probls. I don't know where this myth started.

Have a think back to why you became veg. Was it because of other people or do you feel in your heart it's the right thing to do. If you still belive it is right but are just struggling with food do this.....
Ask your mom not to offer you any takeaway - she sounds very supportive
research the veg restaurants in your town and see if any do takeaway near your moms route
remember that meat ( especially mass produced) contains addictive chemicals do it cam take 3 to 6 months for the cravings to stop - buy they will.
And ignore veg snobs who go on about real veg do this and don't do that. As you get more experienced you'll draw your own conclusions, these people are interested in their image than in decreasing the amount of people who eat meat on regular basis.
If it's still to hard then cut out one meat at a time, pork for me was first.
Also an inspirational book with yummy recipess is by the hare Krishna called a higher taste. It's old so the information isn't up to date but it is still motivating

Hi, the Boca meat won't be wasted. If you stop being vegetarian doesn't mean you can't still eat vegetarian food some of the time. You won't have to live off meat; you can still enjoy the veggie meals.

This is 100% your decision. If you don't want to be vegetarian then nobody is going to give you a hard time about it. Just explain it isn't right for you at the moment.

Whatever your reasons were when you first went veggie, things change. Being vegetarian can be great, but if you want to stop, that's OK too. It's your life and don't let anyone else tell you what you should do about this.

Do what feels right for you.
