YES. Please take your dog to the vet to get checked! Chocolate is very toxic to them.

Common sense/Had pets all my life and still do

If your dog is fairly large - he should be fine - large like over 30 lbs. The chocolate used on the cookies is probably more of an icing layer and not very strong grade of cocoa.
Chocolate is not good for dogs overall but unless it's a small dog that ate a box of See's candy, he should be fine.

Look at the ingredients. Unless cocoa, dark chocolate, or bakers chocolate is listed, I wouldn't worry too much. Call your vet, and if your dog starts exhibiting any signs of discomfort, take him or her in to get checked.

It probably is, especially if one of the ingredients is cocoa powder. Get the box or bag from which he ate, check the ingredients, and CALL YOUR VET to see if you need to bring him/her in.

Goes to show that even dogs cannot resist chocolate. The crackers are made of cocoa but may have a chocolate coating. The dog may become ill but will be fine.

nothing is wrong with a little chocolate just keep him away from chocolate and watch him...
