It is healthier to eat more meals per day but smaller quantities. The best way to lose weight or keep a healthy weight is to keep your metabolism up by eating 5-6 small meals per day. 2 meals won't kill you, but it won't make you healthy, either.

I think it's okay as long as you got plenty of variety of fruits, vegetables, grains, starches and protein. If you're only eating two meals a day I think a healthy snack in between would be a good idea. I eat just two meals a day myself (Lunch and dinner), but usually without the snack.

Edit: but my physical energy levels are not stable from day to day which could be from not eating breakfast. It used to bother me when people would say "breakfast is the most important meal of the day", but maybe they're right.

No, it's not okay to eat two meals a day. When you go to sleep, your body burns fat while in the same time not making you hungry. So you basically won't have any carbs to burn after you wake up. And these carbs are what helps your brain function. If the brain doesn't get enough energy, then the body will shut down, and this includes your heart. DANGEROUS. You should get breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with small snacks in between because it will boost your metabolism a little bit. And it's great that your drinking water because that too supports metabolism and helps you burn fat. If your digestive system doesn't get enough food, it will devour your muscles and bones until you eventually look like a brittle old man or woman. So eat up! :D

The reason why people eat "traditional" breakfast, lunch and dinner/supper in general is because it has been proved through years and years of human experience that eating that often works best. But as usual, there are exceptions and if you can hack it with less, go right ahead. You more than anyone can tell if such a diet plan will work or not over time.

I don't eat much breakfast or dinner either. My main meal for the day has always been lunch. But I do eat many small "meals"/snacks throughout. My drink of choice is Japanese green tea (hot and "cold). It's not something I would recommend for everyone but it works for me. By the way, I'm 6.0 and 175-185 lbs, neither thin nor overweight and I lift weights 3x a week and do cardio workouts 5 x a week

It's ok you won't die but it's bad for you to only eat 2 meals a day you might gain weight that way too. Whatever you do just make sure you eat a nice nutritional breakfast.

It's not recommended. It's very hard to get all the nutrients you need with just two meals a day, especially if you're a vegetarian/vegan.

Yes, but the recommendation is three. I eat two meals per day, everyday, and I've done that for the past decade, and I'm fine.

Some cant handle it, they say they get dizzy and have no energy. I personally eat 2 meals a day and I got no problems, I either skip breakfast or lunch.

i eat 2 meals a day, breakfast and dinner. sometimes i just dont have time fore breakfast. and im not wasting away!

You should try to split em up so that you eat 3 or more times a day to keep your metabolism going.
