Should I become a vegan?!

Question: Should I become a vegan?
So, I've been wanting to for a while (I'm already a vegetarian). Im 15 years old, im 5 foot 3 ish and im 107 pounds. My parents don't want me to, they say its unhealthy and i could get sick... but 'm mainly doing it because of animal rights and such. Any input would be appreciated. What sort of foods would I eat? I have friends who are vegan, and it doesn't seem like it would be so bad.

Yes, you'll be saving one hundred animals each year, you'll be healthier and you'll be helping the environment.

I am in the exact same situation as you! I'm 15 too, I want to be vegan (already vegetarian), I'm the same weight as you and my parents don't want me to be vegan and everybody says im gunna end up in the hospital! But you know what? People said the same thing about my being a vegetarian. I've been vegetarian for a year and am I in the hospital? no i feel great. And I think I'd feel even better being vegan.
It seems like it will be hard because so many things have animal products in them but I also thought it would be hard to be vegetarian and its easy, right?
I think if you take it slow, starting with not drinking and eating the obvious like milk and eggs and go from there it won't be hard. You can learn on the way and eventually you will be totally free from using animal products!
If you make sure you eat the right things like soy, tofu, ect. You will be healthier than all those animal eaters ;) Just be careful and take care of yourself.
check out this website, it has lots of pamphlets to download and stuff like that ;)

Good Luck! :D

It's a big adaption, but easy once you get into it. Especially nowdays with how many alternatives and vegan friendly products available! If you do go ahaid with it though, do it for your own reasons and because it's something you solidly believe is right, not because it's something that other people are doing. And you can always be the Cheezly Cheese girl! (Cheezly is really good melty vegan cheese!)

if u do u cant call your self cheddar cheese anymore lol

No, it's a bad idea. It is a difficult diet to make sure you get all of your nutrients. You are really not saving animals, you are hurting the farmers and and there is overpopulation if wild game is not hunted. We were meant (biologically speaking) to eat animals. Nothing wrong with being a vegetarian if you want to save some animals, just not a vegan.
