POLL: For Vegetarians and Vegans (Meat Eaters too)?!

Question: POLL: For Vegetarians and Vegans (Meat Eaters too)?
Leave your answer as a letter,

A) Im a vegetarian/vegan, and i think humans are meant to be this way

B) Im a vegetarian/vegan, but i think humans are not meant to be this way

C) Im a meat eater, but i think humans are not meant to be this way

D)Im a meat eater, and i think humans are meant to be this way

This is basically a survey, i only want one letter as an answer

Answers:

D. Humans need vitamin B12. B12 is not available in plant foods. If humans were not "meant" to eat meat, eggs, dairy, why do we require a nutrient found only in them?

VeganHealth on B12: "...The overwhelming consensus in the mainstream nutrition community, as well as among vegan health professionals, is that plant foods do not provide vitamin B12, and fortified foods or supplements are necessary for the optimal health of vegans, and even vegetarians in many cases..."

http://www.veganhealth.org/articles/vita…

From the Vegetarian Resource Group (VRG): "...Plant foods do not contain vitamin B12 except when they are contaminated by microorganisms or have vitamin B12 added to them. ..."

http://www.vrg.org/nutrition/b12.htm

The Vegan Society: "The only reliable vegan sources of B12 are foods fortified with B12 (including some plant milks, some soy products and some breakfast cereals) and B12 supplements..."

E) It's complicated.

I'm a vegan, but I believe that humans are "meant to be" mainly vegan, with an occasional bird egg or insect or honey or something else along those lines - in other words, an opportunistic-almost-vegan (like most other primates).

In terms of survival, though, humans can get by on a vegan or vegetarian or pescetarian or omnivorous or even a strictly carnivorous diet these days. We're adaptable.

None of the above.

I'm a vegan and humans are omnivores. They can choose not to eat meat/animal products, but they don't HAVE to eat meat to be healthy and (as much as I hate to say it) they don't HAVE to avoid all meat/animal products to be healthy.

E, none of the above

Humans are omnivores.

Humans that have the luxury of having money and live near grocery stores full of food can live on a vegetarian diet, but not everyone has this luxury.

A

Humans do not need to eat the flesh and products of other animals. It has actually been proven that the less we eat of these things, the healthier we are.

I'm going with E) none of the above, like someone else did. That's not an inclusive enough list.

B
i sort of agree with maddi, obviously humans are meant to eat meat, i mean we are omnivores, the first people on earth ate animals, but i just dissagree on HOW cruelly they kill animals. I wish they didn't have slaughterhouses, because it is like we are breeding food. We are making it. Lions don't have houses for the animals to kill, neither should we. We shouldn't be able to own animals lives. I think what we as human need to consider is that animals are not here just for the purpose of meat and our killing of them.
Even if they did not do this though, I would still be a vegetarian, because I just find meat gross in general. I hate the thought of eating a dead animal. I also, even though humans are meant to eat meat, hate that something has to die just so that people can have a good meal :S

B) Im a vegetarian, but i think humans are not meant to be this way

Instead, I think there should not be such horrible deaths for these animals. If animals die in a proper way, I will eat them. Slaughterhouses repulse me.

My answer is D and I can back it up with scientific evidence from reliable non partisan sources not "vegan.org" or vegsoc.com and other such websites. My references are established and credible learning institutions not propaganda sites.

B is closest, but not entirely accurate to my opinion.
