A pound of carrots a day is exceeding the tolerable Upper Intake level of Vitamin A (this is not a good thing). You will turn orange after a while. The reason why is because you have exceeded the amount of Vitamin A your body can store. Will you experience any other dangerous side effects? Probably not from over-consuming vegetable sources. Animal sources or supplements is a different story, though (over-consumption of those do pose serious health risks).

Still, eating too much of ANYTHING is not good for you, regardless how healthy it is in normal levels. Love for a food is certainly not an excuse to eat 7 pounds of it every week.

If eating too many carrots or other foods high in beta-carotene, it can cause a condition called carotenemia. If your skin starts to turn orange it means that you have ingested too much vitamin A and it is time to reduce your vitamin A intake.

It's important to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. The greater the variety of natural colors in your diet, the better off you'll be nutritionally, to much of any one things isn't good for our health.

it is okay as long as you eat something else and be careful my friends mom's face turned oranga-ish after eating so many carrots

I don't think so. I ear carrots all the time a lot at once. Plus carrots are good for your eye sight. I thinks it's not unhealthy.

noo it's fine. just make sure you eat something else besides carrots
