Both diets can be healthy, just being vegetarian can be easier.
Both meat eaters and vegetarians can sit and eat cupcakes and potato chips all day. But vegetarians tend to be more health-conscious and pay attention to what they're eating, so they tend to be healthier. Meat eaters are usually following the standard American diet which includes gigantic hamburgers and ice cream everyday.
But if a meat eater was a conscious as a vegetarian they could definitely be healthy with an omnivore diet. They just really have to pay attention to their food intake (which most omnivores don't).
SO anyway... I think vegetarians ARE healthier than omnivores because they tend to be more health-conscious. But omnivores are 100% capable of being healthy as well.

A vegetarian diet is healthier, because fruits, vegetables, and legumes are lower in fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and calories.

Plus, a vegetarian diet has all of the nutrients our body needs.

If you want to become a vegetarian, go to a whole food store/health food store or a mainstream supermarket like Pathmark, Stop & Shop, Shop Rite, or Foodtown. In the frozen aisle, produce section, and canned food section there's vegetarian products from Boca, Morningstar Farms, Lightlife, Amy's Kitchen, Annie's Homegrown, Quorn, Worthington, Tofurky, Tofutti, and Yves.

Try some of these products and see if you like them.

Fruits, vegetables, legumes, pasta, cereal and soy or rice milk are also good options.

Vegetarian

Vegetarians are healthier than meat eaters.

A meat diet isnt even healthy as some people claim, it causes many diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. Meat consumption also kills many people each year.

Depends on what you mean by healthy. You're likely to live 7 years longer but are 3X more likely to go insane. So you gotta take the good with the bad I suppose. :)

I have been a vegetarian since age 5 and am tall slim and healthy, never had any problems.

nope, meat is king.

not really:
vegetarians do generally eat more fruit and vegetables that meat eaters and gain protien from fods like tofu but meat eaters do get certain vitamins and minerals only available from red meet, its pretty eaqual. however if a vegetarian eats loads of chocolate every day while a meat eater eats fruit the meat eater will be healthier. it varies from person to person. :)
