There are wrong answers. If someone goes by a definition not based around Donald Watson's original idea in some form than it can be a wrong answer.

"The word 'veganism' denotes a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude — as far as is possible and practical — all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, including humans and the environment.

In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals."

Basically if an animal is involved then it is not vegan. Alcohol can have animal products in them so if you do drink learn about different alcohols so you don't exploit animals for something you don't even actually need.

vegan because animals are not property

Vegans don't:
buy or eat meat, including fish and gelatin, or foods containing it
buy or eat dairy, eggs, honey, or foods containing it
buy or wear fur, leather, wool, silk, or items trimmed in it,
buy or use products from companies whose distributors conduct animal toxicity tests

or frequent zoos, circuses, rodeos, aquariums, or other venues where animals are held in captivity or forced to perform for profit.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but animal products are often used in the production of many types of alcohol:

Vegans don't eat meat, eggs, or any other dairy products. No cheese, sour cream, yogurt, ect. Anything that contains milk or eggs as an ingredient (most have it bold at the bottom of an ingredients list for allergy reasons, it's really easy to spot).
There is also a large list of ingredients that vegans avoid. Gelatin, lard, casein, whey, rennet, here's a full list: http://www.veganwolf.com/animal_ingredie… Obviously you don't want to sit there and look through a giant ingredients list for a box of crackers, so the "rule of thumb" is to just to look for the major ones (that I mentioned above). If a food has a GIANT list of ingredients, then most likely there is an animal product in there somewhere, so just put it down and don't waste your time. Vegans aim for more natural foods anyways.
Some easy vegan foods: nuts/seeds, beans, vegetables, fruits, almond/soy milk, tofu, most cereals, oatmeal, ect.

Well first off the definition of a vegan is someone/thing that doesn't have ANYTHING AT ALL to do with animals. So to answer your question more specifically... us vegans can eat all vegetables, all fruits, and anything else without meats, eggs, or milk. We also make up our protein with vegan substitutions.(Which there are a whole lot of) Turkey, fish, eggs, ham, chicken, mayo and just about everything else. So to sum it all up, we can eat anything that contains no eggs, milk,or meats. We also can touch or wear leather, wool, and other animal products. Some of us also wont get shots or vaccinations because it has previously been tested on animals.

Don't eat junk food or anything that is not original from an animal. Eat mostly vegetables, you can't eat meat, and eat lots of fruit and drink lots of water!!! :)

My mom is a vegan so I see what she eats........plus if your a big person it can make you loose wait easily:)
No Offense!!!!! hahaah :)

Vegans eat anything that is not an animal product or byproduct. So no meat (obviously) and also no eggs, milk, honey, yogurt, etc. Some also refuse animal clothing products (i.e. - wool sweaters, leather, etc.)

Here is a very informative site about the vegan lifestyle that can help you..
