Is too much bacon bad for you?!

Question: Is too much bacon bad for you?
I've been eating LOTS of bacon this week and last week!

Answers:

Any amount of bacon is bad for you... although you probably would not see the effect in the short-term.

Bacon is a 'cured' meat, and its sodium content is sky high. That can be a problem if you happen to be genetically predisposed to any kind of blood pressure disorder. In addition, the generally unhealthful nature of 'swine-related' products is well-documented as it concerns the impact on LDL cholesterol levels.

That being said.... any future decisions relating to what you consume will have to be determined by what YOUR long-term goals are. Some are more concerned in their quality of life at 50/60 than others. (Needless to say, bacon consumption has not be found to promote graceful aging. ;) )

Numerous friends and relatives who ate more than their share of swine-related products in their youth.
