What if they say like: "Well, plants are living things too." Is there such a thing? What would they eat?

Actually there IS a diet that takes plant life into consideration: fruitarianism.
Fruitarians only eat fruits and seeds because harvesting vegetables kills that plant, while it doesn't kill the plant harvesting fruits. They believe that cooked food is toxic and kills the necessary nutrients it contains.
Have you read the Bible? "Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food." Seed-bearing plants are also known as fruits. So that's a big reason why fruitarians believe they are doing the right thing.

Yes... A Fructarian (also called Fruitarian) will only eat food that comes from harvesting from plants without killing the plant itself. (So brocolli would be out, but Nuts, apples, and Green Beans would all be okay, as the health of the plant isn't harmed by harvesting edible parts) It's very difficult to live a healthy Fructarian diet.

"For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love." Pythagoras

Of course as people have said there is vegan which still is healthy in most cases. But to be honest anything after that is unhealthy, for eg ''fruitarians'' have extreme defeciencies alot of the time & their claims are ridiculous of our digestive system being suited to a herbivore/ape diet. Shows a blatant lack of knowledge of biology & the study of apes who eat insects.

we're omnivores deal with it

vegetarian:

Like people have said, there is such a thing as a fruitarian, as the fruit plant does not die in the process, there is also breatharians. These are people who appreciate all life forms and survive solely on sunlight and water! i still cannot understand to the full extent how these people actually survive but there is a guy who has been breatharian for more than 70 years! (he's around 81) Many people however have died in the process of trying this so i wouldn't recommend it lol.

Of course there is. Raw foodists, although they do eat plants. Fruitarians don't eat greens. But there's also something named "Breatharians". Your mind has to be VERY open to accept this kind of nutrition.

I do believe breatharians can live like that.

But when you see a man as loony as this, you have to share the link for others to have some fun too....

Please don't listen to Wiley if you're as naive as I was once.

It is called fruitarian..
Fruitarianism is the practice endorsed by people called fruitarians or fructarians of following a diet that comprises fruits, nuts and seeds, without animal products, vegetables and grains. Fruitarianism is a subset of veganism.

People who practice Jainism (an Indian religion) refrain from eating carrots and potatoes because they do not believe in killing in order to gather food. However, they're fine with eating other types of plants since plants can regenerate.

Nothing like that. Check the vegan recipes

I think that would qualify as an eating disorder.

No, because if someone tried that they would die of starvation. All food comes either from plants or animals..
