Vegetarians/vegans - Do you support Sea Shepherd?!

Question: Vegetarians/vegans - Do you support Sea Shepherd?
Answers:

If you value human life, then you must value ocean life, because without healthy oceans, we cannot survive as a species on this planet. Once you understand that, then you start understand why protecting our oceans is so important, even if you don't eat a vegetarian or vegan diet. While I don't agree with everything they do, I support the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. They have been hugely successful with publicity, especially in recent years. Paul Watson comes across as an arrogant jerk much of the time, and he is not always truthful, according to my b.s. detector. He's truthful where it counts-- in speaking about the importance of our oceans. But he's got some serious balls, and his cause is just. He'll be the first to tell you he really doesn't care what you think about him, because he's not working for you. He does it for the vitality of the oceans. People criticize the organization for "violence." What you are seeing is direct and effective action against illegal activity-- activity with the support of enormously powerful forces. Passive behavior and silent protest is not going to cut it in some cases. That's where people with the guts to put themselves between the cause of a problem, and the effects of a problem to stop it while still not hurting anyone deserve applause and appreciation. Yes, I support the activity of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. With regard to whaling in the southern oceans, the bottom line is: are they stopping a significant number of whales from being killed, and having a positive impact? The answer to that is yes.

No, they are criminals and are going to kill some one in one of their 'staged' accidents.

no, all they do is throw stink bombs and get in the way of whalers.

if they had any willpower, they would arm their ship with guns and torpedoes... that would stop them.
