What supplements would a Veg*n need?!

Question: What supplements would a Veg*n need?
I'm vegetarian who eats almost all vegan food. People in my life are worried about me and tell me that i need to at least eat fish for "all the good things it offers!". I never liked fish.
I drink soy milk, have at least 4 lentil salads a week. I eat pasta, PB&J sandwiches, veggie soup, etc. etc. etc.

I feel healthy, but maybe i'm not.
What supplements would a vegetarian or vegan need?
Omega 3, Vitamin D? What about Zinc or iron.

Answers:

Tell them that you worry about THEIR health, especially their hearts and colons.

Meat contains protein, iron, zinc, and the b vitamins riboflavin, thiamin and b-12.

Protein is found in beans, nuts, seed, lentils, meat substitutes, potatoes, etc. (If you consume enough calories, you’re getting enough protein.)
Iron is found in fortified breakfast cereals, tofu, leafy greens, beans and whole grains.
Zinc is found in beans, nuts, whole grains, fortified breakfast cereals, and dairy products.
Riboflavin in found in dark green leafy vegetables, mushrooms, asparagus and broccoli.
Thiamin is found in whole grains, nuts, sunflower seeds, peas, milk, cauliflower, spinach and legumes.
B-12 is found in eggs, dairy products, fortified breakfast cereals, nutritional yeast and organic produce.

Omega 3s are found in walnuts, flax seeds and flax seed oil, pumpkin seeds, olive oil, hemp products and canola oil.
In addition to omega 3s, fish also contains mercury- a neurotoxin. Yum.
Vitamin D is provided free of charge by that big ball of fire in the sky. Step outside.

I've been a vegetarian my entire life; really I'm a vegan but once in a blue moon I'll have something that has a milk product so technically I'm a vegetarian. Vegetarians and vegans do not need any supplements if you're eating right and still getting things from each group of food. My Dr gives me a full blood panel each year to see if I'm low in any vitamins and I always come back fine. And i never take supplements. If you're really worried about it go to the Dr and they can tell you if you're low in any vitamins; Then you can either incorporate vegan/veggie food to fill that void or take the supplement. Good luck!

Vegetarians and vegans dont need supplements, you can live a healthy life without them.

I dont take any supplements and im in great health.

If you know anything about nutrition or obtaining a properly balanced diet, none.

I just take a vegan multivitamin.
