Just be sure to grind them just before you use it as they do not digest whole. Try sprinkling the ground flax seeds over salad, soup, and cereals, just about anything...

Flax seeds are merely a FAD addition to FAD diets.
When one thinks of all the other nutritious seeds available, why specify FLAX.
They have no more nutrients than MYRIAD other seeds available

Flax, Sesame and many other small seeds have however been used for a long time, in various breads and cakes as merely "Roughage" in aiding to digestion.

Seeds baked or cooked complete with skin are indigestible, and pass straight through unchanged. Therefore no goodness is extracted from the seed.

Eating quantities of Flax seeds may however, have a detrimental on your health, just as eating large amounts of wheat seed (In bread for example)

All nuts are healthy when eaten in conjunction with other forms of food
Just don't eat too many of any particular kind.

Remember Eat a little bit of everything and NOTHING in excess. is the way to a healthy life

Flax seed is not good for high temperature cooking, try olive oil (if no olive oil, canola is second, anything but veggie oil which is cancerous), but if you need an oil for non-cooked foods, flax seed is the best.
