Fellow Vegans (I make it sound like a cult...): Do you believe in spaying and neutering pets?!

Question: Fellow Vegans (I make it sound like a cult...): Do you believe in spaying and neutering pets?
Both of my cats have been spayed since they were kittens... (the humane society spays and neuters most of the animals there- well, the dogs and cats, anyways. Not bunnies or anything... )

Are you for or against it?
Why or why not? :o

Yeah, I was just watching videos of cats being spayed and neutered... why, I really don't know..
I want to be a vet, so I might as well learn what I have to know before hand.. O_O'

[And, videos like that just interest me.. why? Because I'm a sick,. sick person.. XD]

Better then horse castrations. My god is that.... ouch... some people don't give those poor horses pain medication or anything .A**holes.. -_-

Answers:

Yes, I do believe in it. I'm SORRY pets! I'm sorry to cut off your balls, but I've SEEN Earthlings, and the part with gassing cats and dogs because people don't spay and neuter their pets really got to me. There was a guy with a crate of just gassed cats and kittens - all dead :( - and he was dumping them out onto the ground and then throwing them in the trash. THE TRASH. It makes me sick.

SPAY AND NEUTER B*TCHES.

Yes.
If you're an ethical vegan,
there's no way you'd logically want to contribute to the massive pet overpopulation,
which results in hundreds of thousands of deaths, many of them by cruel means.

I believe in spaying and neutering with a seriousness. One less baby born into homelessness, overpopulation and poverty.

I'm not against it at all. If they aren't neutered or spayed, then that means more animals put into the world...with no one to love and take care of them leaving them on the streets.

yah.. I believe in spaying and neutering pets as to not do so is unknowingly contributing to euthanasia.

Take a look at my username and tell me what you think. :P

Just in case anyone does not get it, the answer is "yes". I've had many pets in my life and I think spaying/neutering is very important. I actually had a non-vegan friend who "doesn't believe" in it, and I felt really bad for her dog. He had behavioural issues because he was not neutered (a polite way of saying he was sexually frustrated and never stopped jumping on peoples' legs). As well as that, if the animal in question ever gets out somehow, it has the potential to breed and create unwanted offspring. Overpopulation is bad enough already and it's causing problems, not just for us, but for the pets and even native wildlife (at least where I live, where possums and other wildlife are threatened by feral cats and wild dogs). :)

A true animal rights activist or vegan would NOT spay/neuter an animal. First they would not have "pets". Remember "animals are not ours to use"? If you shut your dog or cat up in the house, put them on a leash, etc., make them depend on you for their food, you're "using" them. And taking away their ability to reproduce is obviously the most intrusive thing you can do to an animal.
