I hadn't heard of them either, but then again I'm not much of a one for taking tablets. I've been drinking pomegranate juice lately, along with (and often mixed with) other fruit juices (dark grape, cranberry, goji, mangosteen, etc.) which are supposed to be high in antioxidants. I haven't noticed any adverse reaction to any of them so far.

Natural foods are healthier than supplements. Pomegranate is available in almost every marts around the season. Fresh fruits also store well.
If you won't able to get fruits you may by fresh juice. At least its juice is better than supplements. Some shops also have pomegranate syrup/ dried seeds akin to raisins. (middle-east/Greece shops).

Pomegranate's benefits are much larger if you eat them fresh. The fruit is indeed very rich source of anti-oxidants, fiber, minerals and vitamins.

I had never heard of them until just now. (I looked it up) It seems they're doing research now to see if they're a real benefit... or even if they're harmful.

I like Pomegranates though... One of my favorite fruits.
