Am i addicted to food?!

Question: Am i addicted to food?
I know when your an addict to coffee and drugs you feel really bad and sick. well i went 3 days with out food, and i felt like i was going to pass out. why is this happening to me? iv seen stories of hikers and stuff that go like a few weeks without food so how come i cant go a measly 3 days? and i know that the human body lives off of extra stored fat. so why cant it just use my fat to keep me from feeling faint?

yeah, hikers can "go without food" from a survival stand point. Do you think they felt awesome after not eating for weeks? NO! they were on the freaking brink of death, they were probably in so much pain.

you felt like you were going to pass out because you werent giving your body any fuel. Its basic science. read a book about the human body. or go to school. either one.

being faint is your body saying "give me fuel". your body cant just live off of stored fat. in a pinch, maybe it can to save your life in a dire situation, but youre going to feel like you are dying, because you are.

for real? You're body can survive awhile by using stored fat, but it can't perform without fuel. To answer the first question, no, you're not addicted to food - food is a necessary component to your body's functionality.

Hi Brandie, Just because you've read that hikers can go without food for weeks it doesn't mean that they were not ill. you need to grow up and have a balanced diet.

Is more complicated than that, your blood sugar probably dropped among other things, don't do that.

No your not you didn't eat in 3 days of course you will feel faint now go eat a cookie >:) lol

people can survive without food but they don't thrive or anything. you need rood to fuel you body
