What do you think of those terrible people that kill and eat carrots?!?!

Question: What do you think of those terrible people that kill and eat carrots?!?
I heard sometimes the carrot is still alive and right out of the ground! They slice them up and have no remorse. What about its family and kids?

Answers:

And the angel of the Lord came unto me, snatching me up from my place of slumber. And took me on high, and higher still until we moved to the spaces betwixt the air itself. And he brought me into the vast farmlands of our own midwest. And as we descended, cries of impending doom rose from the soil. One thousand, nay a million voices full of fear. And terror possesed me then. And I begged, "Angel of the Lord, what are these tortured screams?" And the angel said unto me, "These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots! You see, Reverend, tomorrow is harvest day and to them it is the holocaust." And I sprang from my slumber drenched in sweat like the tears of one million terrified brothers and roared, "Hear me now, I have seen the light! They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul! Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers!" Can I get an amen? Can I get a hallelujah? Thank you Jesus.

No one will get it...

Wow guys I agree with you all, and J L I love your little bible verse, its so great! (And I'm not being sarcastic)
Plants are ALIVE, that's why they can grow, but they don't have a nervous system or a peripheral system. They can't move because they don't have a spinal cord and can't see or hear or feel pain because it doesn't those systems animals have.
Yes they are alive so technically you can kill plants.(What are herbicides for eh? And we 'Kill weeds')
But they can't feel pain! Killing a plant just mean they can't go on to develop and grow further. Can't absorb sunlight, or produce chlorophyll, produce leaves and flowers etc. You are not hurting them.

What he means is that plants can feel the cold and the heat - they can respond to it. That's why some plants grow best in certain climates, and some are frost resistant, others aren't. Many plants go 'dormant' in winter- they stop growing leaves etc. Many plants also start blooming when they 'feel' its warm. Tomatoes for example, start to bloom when its warm, but are very prone to frost bite. So, when the climate is unseasonably warm, before Spring (like in Sydney a few months ago) tomatoes 'think' its Spring so they start to germinate instead of being dormant. But then when they come out and the season goes back to being normal, mid/end-of-winter chilly, it gets frost bite and won't grow.

Eat your carrots. They are good for eye sight and many other things. You are not torturing them.
If that is not enough persuasion, then don't eat anything, because you seem to think plants are being tortured for eating. At that rate you can't even be a vegan.

It's cruel and evil to eat carrots, and not vegetarian either, because they're made out of snowmen's noses.

they also kill poor innocent apples!! rip them right off the trees!!

Nice Tool reference J.L

I like Tool and i really like carrots...covered in their own blood.

I'm eating a carrot right now, and... after I am finished...I might just eat another!! ::Laughs real evil like::

I grow my own, and let a couple go to seed, so the species lives on
