Get some Sweet & Sara's! Their marshmallows are SOOO good.
There is a UK website. I don't know where you live, but you might be able to go to one of the their stores or at least a subsidiary!

They usually have gelatine(from animal) in. Try veganstore.co.uk they have some and a 24 hour delivery. Might be too late to order at the cheaper rate, worth a try.

But for a vegetarian recipe, not vegan...try this

Homemade Vegetarian Marshmallow Recipe

Ingredients
60 mL water (approximately 1/4 C)
"pinch" of cream of tartar (I used 1/8 tsp)
255 g sugar, granulated (1 1/4 C)
255 g light corn syrup (4/5 C, or about 6.63 oz)
1/2 vanilla bean (I used 1 tsp pure vanilla extract)
85 g egg whites (I used 3 egg whites)
5 g xanthan (0.76%) (I used about 3/4 tsp)

You can make them with the recipe the other person gave, but I happen to know that those made for the Halal or Muslim market are made with agar a seaweed based gel and are not only animal free, no gelatin from animal bones and products, but certified by both the Muslim and Kosher dietary law society's, find a good Middle eastern store, they are smaller, less fluffy than regular but I have made products with them from cakes to fudge and crispy squares, and they worked fine, they are made in Lebanon by a company known by the name "Cedar", in the UK you would find them in Iranian or Egyptian based groceteria shops.

I have bought vegan marshmallows from Karmavore.ca store. They are made in the USA. You can make them yourself if you have a recipe.

go to a pakistani supermarket and they would have some which don't contain gelatine and are suitable for veges x

Chicago soy dairy has vegan marshmallows available at whole foods.

I'm a vegetarian, and had no idea marshmallows had animals in them!! damn
