Eggs from chickens treated well?!

Question: Eggs from chickens treated well?
What farm names should i look out for at stores that treat their animals with respect? i'm a vegetarian, but i still care that the chickens laying the eggs i purchase are truly treated well, because i've learned labels that say things such as 'free-range' are often decieving.

Thank you.

I agree with Hippie Tree Hugger. I raise my own hens, I have a flock of 7. There should be a local farm somewhere in your area, if not, a country drive is always worth the time.

I have a friend that has hens and I generally get my eggs from her as I know the chickens are cared for properly and have a good home. Maybe you can find somebody local where you can get your eggs like I do? Then you can see how the animals are treated and give your business to someone in the area.
